Mostar
Mostar is 93 km away from Drvenik and one of the largest cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located on the banks of the Neretva River and is characterized by a Mediterranean climate. You can explore Mostar on foot and visit the main sights, the most famous of which is the Old Bridge, after which the city itself is named Mostar. In the old town you can feel a part of the Ottoman culture that has been present for many years in the area. Since 2005, it has been on the UNESCO list of protected cultural heritage.
The bridge itself stretches across the river Neretva, and tells the story of the famous jumps from the old bridge that you may experience and see for yourself. In recent history, unfortunately, during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it experienced demolition, but later reconstruction.
Lovers of gastronomy here will have the opportunity to enjoy the diverse offer of Balkan food that you should not miss.
