Medjugorje

Medjugorje is one of the most famous centers of Roman Catholic religious tourism in the world. It is only an hour's drive 63 km from Drvenik.

Medjugorje became known in 1981 as a phenomenon of the apparition of St. Virgin Mary 6 children, some of whom have apparitions to this day.

Since then, the religious tourism of the Roman Catholic Church has begun to develop. Along with Sarajevo, it is one of the most visited tourist centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. it is visited annually by a million Catholics from all over the world.

Near Medjugorje there is the river Trebižat and the waterfalls Kravice and as such a natural phenomenon we also recommend visiting.
